BAGGAGE AND COAT CHECK
There are no facilities to leave baggage and coats within the RDS. We recommend that you ‘travel light’ and leave all non-essential items at your accommodation.
There are a number of information points throughout the venue. They are clearly signed and attended by volunteers who will be able to assist pilgrims. Many of our volunteers have additional languages and will be able to assist pilgrims whose first language is not English.
The Order of Malta provides the emergency first responder and Ambulance services. Check the venue map for locations. Roving First Aid Patrols provide cover in all areas of the RDS as required.
Please note - only primary care is provided at the venue first aid posts and medical centres. Pilgrims, volunteers and programme participants requiring further treatment will be directed to national health care facilities or referred to medical specialist where required.
There is free wi-fi throughout the RDS.
CARE AND RESPITE FACILITY
The Comfort Keepers Team, alongside McCabes Pharmacy, are providing a care and respite facility throughout the event. The Comfort Keepers Team is an organisation that provides care to people in their own homes within communities throughout Ireland and are delighted to share in this event with those communities and with people from far and away.
McCabe’s Pharmacy will be on site to offer some expert advice and assist with any medication or emergency prescription needs you may have. They will also have some everyday items available in case you may need them such as sun cream, plasters, tissues and more.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
There is a wide range of catering options available for pilgrims throughout the RDS. Please be mindful that no food is permitted at workshops.
There are two stations in the RDS where lost children will be brought and cared for until they are reunited with their family. The stations are located at either end of the RDS campus and are clearly marked on the map.
For health and safety reasons, and to ensure the comfort of everyone, all the halls in the RDS have maximum capacity numbers. If a room is full, pilgrims will be encouraged to visit another of the many other workshops taking place. We also have a full programme for all the family available in the Family Arena and many activities ongoing in each of the Congress spaces.
Media are attending the events; videos and photographs will be taken that may be used on our website and across all social media channels.
Smoking or the use of vaporisers are prohibited in any indoor section of the RDS campus.
Our many volunteers are easily identifiable in their distinctive blue and Green uniforms. They are happy to answer questions or assist pilgrims in any way they can – just ask
