MAIN EXHIBITION

Our indoor exhibition space hosts over 300 exhibition stands. This exhibition space is an important part of the daily programme of the World Meeting of Families 2018 and is a great space for families to meet other pilgrims, visit exhibits and explore the range of organisations and products on display. OUR COMMON HOME EXHIBITION SPACES

  • Our Common Home Prayer Space: Visit the Climate Justice Candle and photo exhibition to reflect and pray about what is happening to our beautiful world.
  • Our Common Home Garden: In St. Damian’s Monastery (beside Simmonscourt) visit this Celtic bio-diversity garden, an enriching experience for the whole family. 
  • The Beehive Cell: This is an interactive art sculpture by world renowned artist Imogen Stuart. Situated in Simmonscourt, it is described as a home - a welcoming space and a reminder of our deep connections to our Irish Christian heritage and nature. 
  • Eye in the Sky’: Look up & watch out for Our Common Home globe floating over the RDS throughout the Congress! From WMOF2018 it will travel onwards to World Youth Day in Panama, January 2019.

ART EXHIBITION

Visit an exhibition of selected religious art pieces inspired by the WMOF2018 theme, The Gospel of the Family: Joy for the World. This exhibition is organised by the Committee for Sacred Art and Architecture of the Irish Bishops’ Conference, in association with the National Centre for Liturgy.

EXHIBITION: I HAVE FOUND THE ONE MY HEART LOVES - Song of Solomon 3:4

This exhibition explores how Christians and in particular Christian families can live, grow and give witness to the beauty of family life in a world which is going through what Pope Francis calls “a time of truly epochal changes”. This exhibition is organised by the Communion and Liberation Movement in Ireland.

TROCAIRE EXHIBITION

The TrĂ³caire exhibit highlights real life examples of the problems that families are facing around the world; poverty, injustice, inequality, drought, war and disease. The reality that many are facing is fear; this engaging exhibit shows the determination of families to make a better life for themselves and how the love of TrĂ³caire supporters can make a real difference.

SMA LAUDATO SI’ EXHIBITION

We share “our common home” with the family of creation. “Everything is connected” (Pope Francis). Emphasising care for others, and highlighting the diversity, beauty and impoverishment of our world, this presentation, which includes a spectacular Virtual Reality experience, encourages action to address the existing imbalances through the Family Tree Programme, the Laudato Tree Project and Africa’s Great Green Wall.

‘THE PAVILLION’ – BY AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED

ACN invites you to a showcase of their pastoral and humanitarian care for suffering and persecuted Christians around the world in Hall 8D, Simmonscourt Pavilion. The exhibition includes powerful and beautiful testimonials from witnesses and victims of Christian persecution who will share their personal stories of Faith, Hope and Joy even amidst terrible trials.
