World Meeting of Families 2018 will be a joyful festival of the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ, the same love that Christian families are called to witness to in the world.
It will consist of an enriching main programme for adults of keynote speakers, workshops, talks, testimonies and discussions. There will be an engaging and exciting programme for young people as well as fun activities for children.
WMOF2018 will include Eucharistic Celebrations, a festival of families, exhibitions, performances, events around the city, among many other things. The Meeting will also foster gestures of solidarity for families in difficulties. During these five days, there will be time to meet and share, pray and reflect, grow in faith and love, celebrate, as well as gather strength to continue the journey of life.
Day 1 to Day 3 (22nd to the 24th August)
World Meeting of the Families three-day congress
Daily celebration of the Eucharist, prayerful activities, keynote speakers, workshops and exhibitions. Each day will reflect on the theme “The Gospel of the Family: Joy for the World” chosen by the Holy Father.
Day 4 (evening of 25th August)
Festival of Families
A festive time, where we gather to celebrate the gift of family from the perspective of the specific theme of the World Meeting. This will be a cultural celebration of music, dance, song, within a prayerful and joyful setting, and with the aid of stories given by families representing the five continents.
Day 5 (26th August)
Solemn Eucharistic Celebration
The World Meeting of the Family 2018 will conclude with a Solemn Mass in thanksgiving to God, the Holy Trinity for the gift of family and for its sanctification.

Who is invited to WMOF2018?
Everybody is invited to participate, including single people (vowed/consecrated or lay), couples with or without children, extended families and clergy. Thousands of families and individuals from all over Ireland and the world are expected to attend. Some people may come together, others might come on their own, others as part of an organisation. Adults, youth and children are all invited to take part.
