The World Meeting of Families comes to Ireland! Dublin, Ireland, has been chosen by Pope Francis to host the next World Meeting of Families in August 2018. This major world event celebrates family as the cornerstone of our lives, and the fundamental building block of society and the Church. Families from all over the world will gather in Dublin from 21-26 August 2018 programme of workshops, talks and discussions for adults; an engaging and exciting programme for young people as well as faith and fun activities for children. WMOF2018 will include the daily celebration of Mass, a festival of families’ event, exhibitions, cultural events, musical performances and events around the country.
World Meeting of Families 2018 Limited by Guarantee is a company set up to plan and deliver the scheduled events in 2018. We are a small friendly energetic team and will at various times be looking to add more staff to work with us in the preparations for the events in August 2018. We look for candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment and who can bring the skill we need to deliver this exciting event in August 2018. All positions are on a contract basis.
Role: Administrative Assistant to Pastoral Programme
This is a full time temporary position. We expect that the position is required up to the end of August 2018. Working as part of a team the purpose of the role is to provide an effective and efficient administrative service to the internal Pastoral Team and a professional customer service to our external customers (Diocesan Delegates, Parish Office Staff, and general public) for the Icon pilgrimage, the Amoris Programme and other initiatives. Good organisational skills and attention to detail required for this role over the next 10 months.

Role: Administrative Assistant to Speaker Programme
This is a full time temporary position. We expect that the position is required up to the end of August 2018. The purpose of this role is to provide an effective and efficient administrative service to the Speaker Programme for World Meeting of Families 2018 Meeting and other initiatives over the next 10 months. This will require good communication skills (verbal and written) and attention to detail confirming details with a range of national and international speakers in the lead up to their involvement in the 3 day congress as part of the World Meeting of Families 2018. Knowledge of Church structures would be helpful.

Role: Volunteer Outreach Coordinator
The Volunteer Outreach Coordinator, while working on a day to day basis with the Volunteer Services Manager, will be responsible for assisting with the co-ordination and administration of all volunteer personnel, policies, procedures and activities related to the recruitment, assignment, training and deployment thousands of volunteers required for the World Meeting of Families 2018. He/she will also assist with the planning and implementation of the Volunteer Recognition plan. Experience in HR, training programmes, or supporting the management of large numbers of volunteers is required.

Role: Exhibition Sales Coordinator
The Exhibition Sales Coordinator will be responsible for sales, payment collection and management of orders from companies and organisations who will exhibit at the 3 day congress for World Meeting of Families 2018 in the RDS. Working closely with the venue team, marketing team and suppliers for the exhibition build this staff member will be responsible for the final delivery of the exhibition space. Experience in a similar role is required. Experience in Sponsorship sales would be an advantage.

The Event Services and Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the management and delivery of an efficient logistics service for the successful implementation of the World Meeting of Families 2018 Events. Intern Opportunities
Working alongside our staff, students on our internship programme have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and gain confidence from practical experience and mentoring. A small number of Internships will be offered for between 6 to 9 months, working in several different areas
- Marketing and Communications
- Events Services
- Logistics
- Office Management and Administration
Essential Requirements
You must be a student of a graduate programme relevant to one of the areas we require. You must have Fluent English to a business level, excellent written, verbal and communication skills. Non-Irish citizens must have relevant documentation to be involved in an internship in Ireland. You must have a commitment to the values of World Meeting of Families 2018.
The Commitment
This is an unpaid 6 or 9-month internship. However, there will be a small allowance to cover transport and lunch. The intern will be based in our office in Dublin for 5 days per week. WMOF2018 office provides a highly motivating working environment and an opportunity to be involved in a world Event. WMOF2018 will provide office space, support meetings, training where possible and references. Occasional weekend and evening work hours may be required as part of this position. Each intern will work on a specific project, dealing with tasks related to their knowledge and expectations.
